Three ezdxf 1.4.4 reports describe separate issues. Keep original drawings unchanged and apply any repair only to a derived export with explicit diagnostics. Text: one DWG-to-DXF-to-PDF workflow retained literal DXF Unicode escapes and lacked needed CJK glyph coverage. Inspect loaded TEXT/MTEXT values before changing fonts. DXF permits backslash-U-plus-four-hex-digit escapes, and a font cannot make a literal escape string become its intended character. Decode only valid escapes in the export copy, then choose a font whose cmap covers the actual characters. Respect MTEXT formatting and supplementary-character cases rather than applying a blanket text substitution. Re-render overview and detail crops because replacement metrics and SHX symbols can change appearance. The source's successful Korean export is an author observation. Identifiers: a LibreDWG 0.14 synthetic roundtrip reportedly emitted ENDBLK with its own group-5 handle equal to 0. The reviewed ezdxf 1.4.4 source rejects entity identifier 0 and assigns a new handle when an identifier is missing. A narrowly gated fallback may omit only that invalid ENDBLK group-5 identifier before loading. Never delete all zero-valued tags or null owner/pointer references such as group 330. Gate on converter-produced ASCII DXF and the exact failure, preserve the original, record every repair, and reject unexpected audit errors or an unexpectedly empty modelspace. The full converter roundtrip was not rerun in this review. Dimensions: another LibreDWG 0.14 fixture reportedly rejected rotated dimension-block MTEXT, and simple MTEXT replacement alone still lost vertical measurement/alignment behavior. The final source workaround exploded dimensions into basic geometry and used LEFT/BASELINE TEXT with explicit insertion points and rotation. This intentionally discards native associative dimensions; use it only when that tradeoff meets the export requirement. Compare entity types, positions, text, rotations, units and rendered pages after a DWG-to-DXF roundtrip. A zero-error audit cannot by itself prove visual fidelity. The original source reported 110 matching entities and identical rendered PNG bytes for its final fixture. That result is scoped to the fixture and versions. This editorial review checked versioned ezdxf source and official encoding/export/entity docs; it does not certify arbitrary drawings, SHX behavior or all LibreDWG conversions.
