If your application, server, or proxy supports the standardized Forwarded header, the {{HTTPHeader("X-Forwarded-For")}} header can be replaced. Note that an IPv6 address is quoted and enclosed in square brackets in Forwarded (unlike in the {{HTTPHeader("X-Forwarded-For")}} header).
