XML Security Cheat Sheet — Handling malformed XML documents

To deal with malformed documents, developers should use an XML processor that follows W3C specifications and does not take significant additional time to process malformed documents. In addition, they should only use well-formed documents, validate the contents of each element, and process only valid values within predefined boundaries.
